Some of my personal favorites that I tend to read more often than others because I find them encouraging. They reflect key growth periods in my life and are more on the optimistic side.
Pick Your Poem
These poems have a more of a free verse style to them. It's how they were written and reflects my stream of consciousness when I'm trying to work out how I was feeling at the time.
Habits made from fear can be interpreted as strength. We learn as we grow.
When does the world turn against us? When do we stop being kind to ourselves?
Being able to accept the peace after turmoil.
The illusion of love should never lead to isolation.
The harsh reality of there not being a mutual effort when you've given so much.
Growing together but growing apart in a healthy manner.
Addiction extends beyond the individual. It effects everyone who cares for them.
It's not healing if you're not aware you're hurting yourself.
The feeling of anger can be so consuming at times.
A child should not be given adult responsibilities, no matter how willing they are.
Learning from others what not to do, what cycles not to repeat.
Ignorance from people who don't understand kindness stems from empathy.
Beautiful people in beautiful moments.
Apologies and empty promises. The constant push and pull is exhausting.
They are your history, not your future.
For those who think it all feels fatal, it gets better.
Is it really 'living' if it's at the cost of your own wellbeing?
If my heart had hands, it would write poetry.
